Just Property Port Elizabeth showed their initiative and chose to give back not only to the community but also to the environment when they paid a visit to the Buffelsfontein Retirement Village.
The staff felt excited to meet a few of the residents at the Buffelsfontein Retirement Village. It was surprising for them to discover that the village itself could house up to 399 retired residents.
After finally meeting the staff and residents at the Buffelsfontein Retirement Village for the first time, they were amazed to discover that the wonderful people that they had been introduced to were only a handful of the many residents staying in the village.
Once they had been given a chance to chat with everyone and tell them all about Just Property’s contribution of beautiful fruit trees to the gardens surrounding the property, it was time for everyone to get to work and plant some trees.
The residents at the village were delighted to watch Just Property staff as they picked up their gardening tools and got their hands dirty as they dug away and prepared the earth in the gardens for some delicious new additions.
They explained that the trees were being planted not only to make the gardens even more beautiful, but also to make up for the paper that had been used by the office over the year by providing more trees in the area in order to produce oxygen and keep the air clean.
All-in-all, it was a joyful, rewarding experience and the Just Property Port Elizabeth staff were grateful for the opportunity to grow as a team and give back.
